Laura Ortiz Montemayor
General Partner,
REGENERA VENTURES
Laura Ortiz Montemayor is a living-systems thinker and the founder of SVX México, committed to advancing regenerative culture, biodiversity conservation, and transformative impact investing. Her life’s mission is to ensure that capital serves life, rather than governs it—actively working to shift investment paradigms toward systems that nurture people and the planet.
In recent years, Laura has focused on building the investment case for biodiversity regeneration, climate finance, and inclusive economic development across Latin America through advisory, ecosystem building and education. She has educated over 4,000 Latin American investors on topics such as impact investing, climate finance, and the regenerative economy, and has spoken on these subjects globally.
Laura is a board member of the Mexican National Advisory Board of the GSG (AII MX), co-creator of SVX Colombia, and a founding member of ASEM (Mexican Association of Entrepreneurs). Together with her business partner Stevie, she is currently launching Regenera Ventures, their first investment fund focused on accelerating the regenerative transition in rural Mexico, applying a gender lens and a landscape approach.
