Juan is Chairman of the Board and Executive President of Grupo Siembra, and one of its principal shareholders. Siembra is one of Mexico's largest sugar producers. With an annual production of over 300,000 tons and three mills across the country, it produces energy and is diversified in other agricultural operations. He is also Chairman of the Board, founder and principal shareholder of Organika, a producer of cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers in high-tech greenhouses in the Bajo zone, for export to United States. Additionally, he is Executive President and principal shareholder of Nutriba, a stevia producer with agricultural operations in Mexico and the United States, and a processing plant in Chile. It is vertically integrated (from field to final product), with global footprint, offering innovative sweetness solutions, based of natural ingredients, healthy and high quality, focus on industrial clients in Mexico, Latin America, United States and Europe. Since April 2000 he has been a member of CULTIBA's Board of Directors. He was President of the National Chamber of Sugar and Alcohol Industries from 2007 to 2022 and has been President of the National Agricultural Council (CNA) since 2023. CNA represents, defends and promotes the agriculture and food sectors in Mexico. It represents more than 80% of the agrifood GDP, and 10% of Mexico's overall exports. It has more than 1.8 million producers as members in Mexico.
