Jorge Chavira
Bronze medallist at the 2007 Ibero-American Physics Olympiad, mechatronics engineer graduated in 2012 with honours from Tecnológico de Monterrey and coach of the Chihuahua team for national mathematics Olympiads, promoting young talent in science.
From 2012 to 2024, he worked at Grupo Chaol, a family-owned refrigerated transport company, serving as general manager from 2017 onwards and increasing the company's sales and operations by 2.3 times. With this foundation, he founded Viako, which evolved from a freight marketplace to a SaaS platform that helps food distributors ensure on-time deliveries, reduce shrinkage, and optimise costs.
His mission is clear: to make the cold chain in Latin America and the world more efficient, reducing food waste and emissions, while strengthening the competitiveness of thousands of medium-sized companies.
