
Carmen Guerrero Sotelo
Carmen leads the design of Water Stewardship projects in highly water-stressed basins across Mexico, connecting corporate investment with regenerative agriculture, precision irrigation, and community participation. At Kilimo, she develops strategies aligned with the VWBA methodology and the CEO Water Mandate, focused on mitigating climate risks, ensuring water security, and generating measurable impact.
She holds a degree in Biology from UANL, with further studies in Circular Economy & Sustainability Strategies at the University of Cambridge, Development Project Management at the IDB, and a Master’s in Sustainable Finance from the Mexican Association of Investors. With over 10 years of experience, Carmen has designed and implemented sustainability, impact investing, and climate tech projects in partnership with global companies and rural communities.
