Bernardo Márquez Jiménez
José Bernardo Márquez Jiménez is Director of Agribusiness at BanBajío. He holds a degree in Public Accounting from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara and a Master's degree in Finance and Business from the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes. He has more than 31 years of experience in banking, in the areas of operations, investment banking, business promotion, structured credit, corporate finance, real estate development, and agribusiness.
He joined BanBajío in 2005, holding the positions of Business Executive, Business Coordinator, Deputy Business Director in Querétaro, Deputy Director of Agribusiness Promotion, and, since August 2025, Director of Agribusiness at the corporate level.
He currently represents BanBajío as head of the Agricultural Credit Committee of the Mexican Banking Association and as a representative to the CNA. His responsibilities include developing a strategy for interaction with regional offices to set annual growth targets, promoting cases in the sector before various committees and decision-making bodies, and strengthening the relationship and programs between BanBajío and FIRA.
