Armando is currently the Managing Partner of Business Strategy at New Ventures, where he leads initiatives in collaboration with New Ventures' partners to strengthen the sector. Previously, he served as Director of Ashoka Mexico and Central America for eight years and played a key role in Mexico's microfinance movement, acting as the first Executive Director of ProMujer Mexico from 2002 to 2006. He was also part of the founding team of Fincomún, Community Financial Services. In addition to his work in microfinance, Armando has contributed to the fair trade and conservation movement, notably implementing a coffee program in the El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve in Chiapas, Mexico. This initiative, designed to generate environmental, social, and economic impact, was developed in collaboration with Conservation International and in partnership with prominent commercial allies, including Starbucks. Armando is an alumni fellow of the Hubert Humphrey Fellowship Program through the U.S. State Department and holds a Master of Business Administration from IPADE Business School.
