Ana Laura Fernandez is Fondo de Fondos' Vice President of Impact Investing. Ana Laura is responsible for the impact strategy of Fondo de Fondos and is in charge of the Latam Impact Fund. With AUM of more than $70 million USD the Fund invests in Sustainable Agriculture, Clean Energy, Environmental Infrastructure, Education, Health, Financial Inclusion and Support for SMEs in all the region. Ana Laura has more than 25 years of experience leading Financing and Investment Programs, most of her experience was in Mexico's Development Bank Nacional Financiera, with a BA and a postgraduate degree in Finance from Tec de Monterrey. In Nacional Financiera she participated in the design and administration of several programs like Supply Chain Development, Green Bank and Microfinance. During her last assignment in the Development Bank, Ana Laura administrated the investment in more than 50 seed and venture capital funds and participated in their investment committees. She also participated in the Boards of the direct investments that included companies of the Conacyt Portfolio (43 companies- 11 active) and the Seed Program (16 companies). She has been invited as speaker to promote Impact Investing in events like the VC Latam Summit in Miami, the World Agritech Summit in Sao Paulo and San Francisco, Col Capital Summit and the first Impact Investing Encounter in Bogotá, SOCAP in San Francisco, the FLII in Mérida and Guatemala, the Private Sector Round Table in the 4th International SIDS Conference of United Nations in Antigua, Biva Day and the Amexcap VC Summit in New York, and the Global Steering Group Summit in Malaga. Board member in Acelera (Anahuac University) and president of the Alianza por la inversión de Impacto Mexico (AIIMx).
