
Ana Cristina Tovalin
Ana Cristina is a transformational leader focused on generating positive impact and sustainable development, with over 12 years of experience.
She currently steers Nestle´s sustainability strategy in Mexico, Company ranked by Expansión as #1 in sustainability in the country for 2024 and 2025.
Ana Cristina empowers the organization to advance its sustainability agenda by facilitating strategic alliances with more than 20 external partners to date, building capacity within teams, and embracing innovation as a strategic pillar for sustainable transformation.
These efforts have resulted in the reduction of hundreds of thousands of tons of greenhouse gases, the saving and regeneration of billions of liters of water, the development and purchase of thousands of tons of agricultural materials produced with sustainable practices, and the improvement of thousands of farmers’ livelihoods. Cristina has led these impactful results at the most competitive cost among Nestlé Group’s 180 markets globally.
Previously, she held leadership positions in sustainable development at the United Nations and the federal government in Mexico. Cristina holds a Master of Science in Sustainable Development from the University of Sussex and a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs (graduated with honors).
