Alina Carmona Calvillo
Alina Carmona Calvillo is the Senior Manager of Social Impact and Sustainability for Latin America and the Caribbean at Visa. Alina has over 15 years of experience leading triple-impact projects in financial inclusion, diversity, and sustainability across the region. She has transformed philanthropic initiatives into strategic programs that mobilize resources in more than 15 countries and has represented Visa in multiple international forums on economic empowerment and inclusion.
Additionally, she is the founder of Shared Value Consultores, through which she has advised companies and civil society organizations on developing corporate social responsibility strategies and organizational professionalization. In 2025, she was recognized by the Mexican Entrepreneurs Association as one of the 100 most inspiring women entrepreneurs in the country.
She has also worked with non-governmental organizations such as World Vision, FUNDES, ChildFund, Daunis, and Fundación ProEmpleo as a specialist in institutional development and fundraising. From 2009 to 2013, she served as Vice President of the Board of Directors of The Hunger Project Mexico.
Her academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the National Autonomous University of Mexico, a Master’s in Gender Equality and Violence Prevention, and certifications in Governance and Innovation, Sustainable Finance, Fundraising, Marketing, and Social Project Management, among others. Her education and experience position her as a key voice in promoting purpose-driven business models with a social focus.
